Part 1: In the Studio with Live Model

Explore the fun and challenges of recreating vintage Hollywood style portraiture, incorporating both classic and state-of-the-art techniques and tools in a professional photography studio. Learn how to use carefully controlled, dramatic lighting, the essential element of vintage-Hollywood style photography, to create drama and mystery. Experience posing the model and experiment with close-up photography that emphasizes facial features, expressions, light and shadows. The lessons you'll take away will enhance all of your photography.

Part 2: The Finished Image
In our live, fully interactive virtual classroom
Using Adobe Lightroom Classic & Photoshop, we’ll ​work on our studio portraits to re-create the beauty and elegance of timeless images made by photographers of the Hollywood era in the darkroom, exploring black & white vs color, high-contrast and retouching. A basic knowledge of Lightroom Classic and Photoshop is required.
