Learn to create more interesting portraits. We'll discuss key points for planning a portrait, including its style and purpose—whether it's a natural portrait, a posed family photo, a formal headshot, or an artistic street shot. We will demonstrate how to set up and interact with your subject, how to use light to convey emotion and expression, the impact of focal length on facial features and how to choose the right gear and backgrounds. We will practice by taking individual and group portraits, focusing on light and posing using natural and studio lighting. You'll leave with the skills and inspiration to build your own Portrait Portfolio.
