Join renowned Argentine photographer, teacher and documentary filmmaker Ossian Lindholm and Princeton Photo Workshop's Alan Kesselhaut on the world’s only photography tour that combines a unique photography experience in pristine Northwest Argentina with an introduction to the region's wonderful high-altitude wines.
Our photography adventure takes us across diverse landscapes, spanning the five distinctive biomes of Northwest Argentina: the sub-Andean humid sierras of the east; the fertile valleys, the canyons, and the high mountains of the Andes; and the high plateau of the Altiplano, or Puna, where the highest vineyards in the world thrive, bearing grapes that will become elegant, fruity white Torrontes or full-bodied red Malbec wines. The temperate valleys, where cattle and farming sustain life, have spawned a strong gaucho culture, which we'll photograph up close. We’ll tour the magical town of Cachi and explore Los Cardones National Park and the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, learning how to use light, capture color and tell a story with daily hands-on support and instruction.
Each day, we will find a variety of photographic opportunities as we hike one of the world’s most peaceful and diverse landscapes, including likely sightings of condors in flight and the local Vicuna. Later, we will congregate for review of our work and demonstrations of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to help you capture the experience that moved you to take the photo in the first place accompanied, of course, by the world’s finest high-altitude wines.
